Fitness Progress is a comprehensive iPhone application designed to provide users with detailed insights into their fitness activities. It enables tracking of various metrics, including steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, and other fitness-related data.
For optimal data collection and presentation, pairing the app with an Apple Watch is advisable, as it captures a broader range of information compared to the iPhone alone. Users should note that certain data might not be available without the watch.
HOME
This section offers an overview of your progress, allowing you to monitor daily activity levels, track streaks, and review your closed rings for the year. It also provides functionality to compare recent performance over the last 7 or 28 days with previous periods.
TOP
The app highlights your peak performance days across various categories such as Move, Exercise, Steps, and Walking or Running Distance. It permits sorting these records by different time frames, including This Year, the Last 14 Days, and All-Time Records.
STREAK
This feature allows for easy tracking of your longest activity streaks in categories like Move, Exercise, and Standing. Users can employ filtering options to view data segmented by specific time periods.
TOTAL
The total tab provides a summary of your cumulative activities—calories burned, exercise duration, step count, distance traveled, and hours spent standing for at least 5 minutes. It also offers detailed workout summaries categorized by training type, displaying total duration, calories burned, and distance covered.
AVERAGE
You can review your average daily metrics for calories burned, exercise time, steps taken, distance traveled, and standing hours. Interactive hourly charts facilitate a deeper understanding of daily activity patterns by visualizing data on an hour-by-hour basis.
Within the Settings available on the Home tab, users have the option to customize units of measurement—switching between kilocalories and kilojoules for energy, and between kilometers and miles for distance.
Downloading Fitness Progress enables users to initiate or enhance their journey toward improved health and well-being.
The app ensures user privacy by processing all health data locally on the device without transmitting or storing any information externally.
Compatible with iOS versions from 17.0 onwards, the app requires read access to all relevant data within the Apple Health app. Access permissions can be managed at any time through the Health app settings.
